Where do you live?
Grottammare, Italy. A small and boring town situated on the Adriatic Sea
coast.
What is your favorite comic series?
All X-Men series, definitely.
What is your favorite book?
"Under the Moons of Mars" by Edgar R. Burroughs. It was the book that marked my teens.
Who is your favourite artist?
Not one, but too many artists: Moebius, Andrea Pazienza, Tanino Liberatore, Gustavo Trigo, Jack Kirby, John Buscema, Geof Darrow, Kevin Nowlan, Jason Pearson, Mike Allred, Dave McKean, Masamune Shirow, Katsuhiro Otomo, Katsuya Terada…and many others.
What music do you like to listen to?
Several kinds of music, from Jazz to Hardcore. My favourite band is Metallica.
What are your favorite films?
"A clockwork orange", "Shining", "Eyes wide shut", "Pulp Fiction", "Kill Bill", "Matrix" (the first film only) "Per un pugno di dollari", "Barbarella", Kurosawa's "Dreams", "Blade Runner", "The sixth sense", "The others".
Is there one painting that inspires you? and how ?
The beauty of Alfons Mucha's paintings and artworks. I love his sense of aesthetics.
When and where we're you happiest?
At my drawing-table, drinking a cup of green tea and drawing sexy girls…that's the best!
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
When I'm free to express my personality.
What is your greatest fear?
To not be good enough.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
I'm too much fussy and critic about myself.
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Superficiality and intolerance.
What is your greatest extravagance?
My big interest for esoteric philosophies and symbols.
What makes you depressed?
When I remember that I need money to survive…!
What is your most unappealing habit?
To pick my nose.
What is your favourite fantasy?
To make all my fantasies become real.
For what cause would you die?
Freedom.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
My job and the girl who I am with.
Have you ever said 'I love you' and not meant it?
Never. I hate who is not sincere.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Oh well, a lot of dirty words…you know, I'm a bad boy.
How do you relax?
Meditation, watching films and playing videogames.
What keeps you awake at night?
I'm always awake at night. I usually work. Otherwise, I like to watch trash movies.
How would you like to die?
To be abducted by Death (Sandman's sister). Yeah, she is so nice…
How would you like to be remembered?
I would be remembered as a guy who did something nice.
What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Each person can teach us something important, and we must always try to improve ourselves.
What does the House of RA mean to you?
It's a great opportunity to join our own arts and give a good innovation to the comics market.
Why did you want to become a writer?
Isnt it about time you grew up?
There is no age to love arts such as comics.
