A VAMPIRIC ROMANIA

DRACUL is the Romanian word for devil, Dracula means son of the devil.

The 'Murony' vampire, of ancient Transylvania, could change shape into a cat, dog, toad or any blood sucking insect. These disguises made it easy for the Murony to attack its victims. When discovered in its human form in the grave it could be recognised by the long nails the blood dripping from its eyes, ears, nose and mouth.

The 'Dhampir', according to Transylvanian legends, was the son of a vampire. He was the only person who could see or kill invisible vampires.
